SHIATSU
Balance Your Chi
Shiatsu (‘shi’ meaning finger and ‘atsu’ meaning pressure) is a Japanese born modality that uses pressure applied with thumbs, fingers and palms to the same energy meridians as acupressure, which incorporates the philosophy of the five elements in order to achieve optimum health.
A Shiatsu session is as deep or as gentle as you need or want. Using palms, thumbs, forearms, elbows and/or knees, the practitioner will move around your body, applying the appropriate pressure for the type of energy in the targeted meridians. Applying stretches and rotating the limbs open the meridians, releasing blocked or stagnant energy, and give the therapist additional assessment information throughout the session. The continuous rhythmic movement is often compared to the flowing movement of Qigong or Tai Chi.

THAI MASSAGE
Open Your Body
Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a floor mat in loose and comfortable clothing.
In receiving Thai Yoga Massage one is also receiving the benefits of the practice of yoga.
This technique has been described as assisted Hatha yoga. A Thai Yoga Massage also incorporates martial arts moves, rhythmic motion, palming and thumbing along energy lines, gentle stretching, and breath work, creating a slow, flowing "dance" around and with the recipient's body.
In Addition to stretching and tonifying the muscles, Thai Yoga Massage improves circulation, relives muscular tension and spasm, helps expedite metabolism, boost the immune system, balances the body energetically, inducing a calm mental state. This practice provides the recipient with both a physical and energetic massage.

CHI NEI TSANG
An Ancient Science
Taoist 5 Element Massage is based upon the ancient Taoist five elementtheory that is the heart of Asian traditional medicine. By freeing the abdomen of tension, constriction and congestion of fluids and gas, the qi (bioenergy) moves properly in the organ system. Chi Nei Tsang releases core level stress from the abdomen first and thenassists the qi to move through the body to help it self-heal. It utilizes highly effective techniques to help:
-
transform stress into vitality
-
stimulate abdominal lymph circulation
-
calm the spirit and the mind for better sleep
-
relieve digestive and elimination problems
-
release the diaphragm so the breath can be free

NRT
Neural Reset Therapy
Neural Reset Therapy (NRT) is a manual therapy that uses neurological and physiological principles to release muscle tension and pain within seconds. It works by stimulating specialized nerve receptors to send a signal to the brain, which then resets the nervous system and optimizes muscle function. Unlike many other therapies, NRT does not require deep pressure, or massage oils, and is performed while the client is fully clothed.
How it works
-
This stimulation sends a signal to the spinal cord, which, in turn, sends a message back to the brain to "reset" the nervous system's control over that muscle.
-
This reset releases the muscle from excessive tension, which can cause immediate pain relief and improved mobility.
-
The therapy is based on scientific principles and does not involve energetic methods.
-
The therapist stimulates the body's nerve receptors in or near the target muscle, sometimes by asking the client to hold a position or make a specific movement, and other times by tapping a muscle.
